child-support family-support

I live in Texas. I read on [url]www.divorcecare.com[/url] that there is such a thing called "Family Support" that could be used instead of "Child Support" for tax purposes. Is there really such a thing, and does Texas have this? Any web sites to research this? Who should I contact?
