Deceased Husband's Savings Account /Florida

There's a woman in Florida and her deceased husband had one of his children as the sole beneficiary.This child is grown and is not with his wife.The child was born before he met his wife,his wife gave him more children and they've been together for over 35 years.

The wife was told that she can only get a small,less than 40% of this money.I'd like to know if anyone knows anything about this because it's not right for a husband to be able to do his wife like this.
