Question

Denied child care expense support

What is the name of your state? PA
I live with my mother and pay rent and child care expenses. I have gone to court on several occasions with cancelled checks supporting that I do pay my mother for after school care for my children. Each time these expenses have been denied. What do I need as proof of payment to get some support for these expenses?

When they denied the charges what reason did they say?

i can easily write my own mother a check, have her sign and cash it and give me the money right back. i would ask them why they are denying and what proof would be acceptable.

That's exactly my first thought on the subject.

Is Mom a licensed child care provider? That might help. Does she claim the income on her taxes? That will definitely help. Bring in a copy of her last income tax filing for proof.

Translation: I am paying my mother to babysit and my ex won't pay half.

CORRECT?

How much are you paying your mother for child care? Why should your ex pay all of it? How many hours are your children in "day care". Is your mother a licensed child care provider? How much child support do you get?

So use an accredited provider, so the court WILL see that you are incurring legitamate child care expenses. How OLD is the child?
