does change in income change $ responsibility?

good morning!
looking for advice. I was divorced recently, and pay alimony and child support. shortly thereafter, I was laid off. I have severence but it will run out soon. if I start earning less than I earned at the time of divorce, am I still responsible for the full amount of alimony? thanks.

You are responsible for the ordered amount until or unless the order is legally modified.

Depends... do you have a court *order* or a court *suggestion* when it comes to alimony and child support?

Don't you know it is always a suggestion unless they are on the receiving end of good things?
