Does Texas have alimony??I live in texas. I was wondering if Texas had alimony or spousal support?? I have heard yes and no so I am confused. Also, what is the likelihood of being ordered to do so if only married for two months and we just arent happy together. She came into the marriage with nothing. I have been paying for everything. She has a terminal illness though, so insurance is a necessity. I am not sure if we can find some way of arguing for an annulment since she does have a physical handicap. Her family was paying for all her health expenses. While she cannot hold a fulltime job she can work when she is healthy. Is there a chance that I might have to keep paying for her?? Is there a chance she might be able to get money out of me?? If we do decide to end it and go with a divorce I am just scared that the courts might go in her favor just cause she has a terminal illness. |

| Texas does NOT have alimony, per se. Texas has what is called 'maintenance'..... and for more on it, go to: http://www.divorceinfo.com/txalimony.htm
__________________ There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution). Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |
