domestic support issue

I live in Naples, FL. In 2007 my wife and I were divorcing but decided to reconcile. An order for domestic support was issued that I pay a monthy amount. Both of us had attorneys, and both appeared to file the appropriate paperwork to show that the divorce procedings were over. However, several week ago I recieved a letter from the clerk of courts that I was delinquent in my domestic suppot payments. I explained the situation and was informed that I must petition the court to have this order removed. My question is how do I petition the court? Will I need a lawyer or is this something we can do ourselves?

It would probably be something that your previous attorney could handle very simply, and probably should have handled at the time, therefore he/she might even handle it without too much additional expense. It may even be something as simple as getting paperwork to the clerk of courts that has already been done.

At least talk to your previous attorney about it.

Thank you for what??? Your plan to reconcile and get out of paying alimony just may backfire on you. Women out live men. Are you aware of this?? Women out live men because they are smarter than men, i.e. they sit on their asses and let the men work for them, thus using up the mens physical body and then cash in on the life insurance. Wise up my man!!!
