ex suddenly stopped paying alimony

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ga.

I was married 25 years, divorced in 2005 with mediated court ordered alimony payments to be paid to me monthly for 10 years. My ex husband quit paying 10 months ago. He has always had jobs that allowed him to hide money, being a contractor and working with friends and relatives, etc. and often getting paid in cash. He lives with his girlfriend now, and claims he has no money. He quit 12 great jobs the last 15 years of our marriage, b/c they didn't suit him.

I've worked as a bookkeeper for a non-profit org. for 16 years. I took this job b/c it allowed me to work from home and care for my child who has special needs. She is now 21, still living with me, she has high medical bills and no source of income. I have to carry individual health ins. b/c it is not provided by my employer, but my ex was also supposed to be paying 1/2 of our daughter's health ins. He also quit paying that 10 months ago.

In the past year, I've had to file bankruptcy, we are loosing our home and my excellent credit is now ruined. All this is as a result of his not paying alimony. I bring home $1,500 per month and have less than $1,000 to live on after paying insurances. Ive been searching for a second job the past several months and nothing yet.

What can I do to get him to honor the court order, especially since I know there will be no way to prove he has income?

I can't afford Atty. fees or court costs as I've spent all I saved trying to live these past 10 months w/o the alimony.

Lastly, I know he is filing for his SS soon. Can his Social Security wages be garnished? I am 10 years younger than him so, it will be a while before I can get a spouses share of the SS.

Thank you for your time and any advice would be much appreciated! What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
