Ex wife gets the shaft...

What is the name of your state? Kentucky

After 38 years of marriage my Ex filed for divorce about 2 years ago. It drug out due to non payment of the lawyer's fees and then in May of this year I picked up the paper and it was listed in the Divorce Proceedings. At the time I had an addendum typed and ready to go to our attorney asking for some things to be changed. I have recently suffered health problems and am not able to work full time as I was when the divorce was first initiated. Also, right after the divorce was final, my Ex secures a job making $60,000 a year or so. He had never made anything like this. I made the majority of money, carried the health insurance and had the worry of paying the bills all the time I was married. And, I did this for our two children.

My Ex is now living with a woman who has money, drives a beamer convertible. It just seems so unfair that I have worked my entire life and I am stuck with half the bills and no money to pay them with and he is living in the lap of luxury. Had I known the divorce was going to be sent on to the judge without full payment being made, I would have hastened my delivery of the addendum I had prepared. After a divorce is final in this way...is there not anything I could do to get maintenance since we were married so many years and I was not notified by anyone that this was going before a judge. Myk divorce has been final for about 7 months.

Thank you for your help.
