He Got Fired

undefinedWhat is the name of your state? OHIO

STBX is a self employed truck driver with a lease to a company. This company finds all his loads for him and he uses their trailers. We own the tractor it is paid for. STBX has a very bad temper and is a bull head, verbally abusive. He did not work form 12-22 until 1-4, due to having repairs done on truck. However on 1-4 he was back home early afternoon after leaving in semi early morning. I didn't know what was going on, but did not see a trailer where he usually parks them when he is home. So I figured he got mad about something or other and just came home. Well each day went by and he is still home ( sometimes when he would get mad like this he would just come home for a day or two, although there have been other times where he has said he has quit and just sat home for 2 or 3 weeks and not worked).

Found out the other day they had fired him or in reality in his case pulled his lease/ I heard him talking to one of his parents on the phone about this. So okay here is this man that hasn't worked in over 2 weeks, that is taking me back to court because he didn't like the judges original temporary orders about paying support ( he is 900.00 in arrears with another 500.00 due on 1-15). He told me when the original orders came down that he didn't have that money and should be balance in his check book. Yeah the money wasn't in check book but I have reason to believe he has been hiding some ( i guess we will see when it comes time at end of month for all the payments he is to make to be paid). We were suppose to go back to court for the temporary order oral hearing on 1-5 but had to be changed to 1-112 because of his attorney's schedule.

My question is because he is not working will that have any bearing on the temporary orders being changed ( how convenient he got fired right before hearing) or will the judge tell him to get his act together. Will the judge have anything to say about him getting fired, willhe want to know the reason why.STBX always told me if we divorced he would quit his job and go get one that paid 7.00 an hour so he didn't have to pay much support. Haven't been able to talk to my attorney because of the terrible ice storm we have had. Sorry this is so long but needed to tell the whole story.

Please tell us why, with his track record, you would expect alimony from him? And do you expect this alimony to live or do you work? Do you really think he's going to keep his end of the court order up or do you think you'll be chasing him for every penny?
