My response:

No, she doesn't have that right. Once she said, "I do," she became your slave - - your indentured servant. She *must* live elsewhere, without you, forever and always, without question or complaint (preferably in the backhouse, chained to a wall during the daytime).

Okay, I'll bite. What is the situation behind your question?

Okay, your the one with the g/f in custody of Social Services. If you marry when she is 18 (and I DO NOT support this by the way) I seriously doubt there is anything that can be done by the state. What can they do? It is LEGAL to marry at 18, she will be emancipated. If you look at the statistics of MD foster care system, only .05% are still in the system past the age of 18. I also have to tell you that since she is custody of Social Services, she can probably go to college for FREE..and I highly suggest you allow her to do so before taking on the responsibility of marriage and most probably a fast family. Not that you are going to listen to me....but 10 years from now, you'll think back to this when you are paying out of your wallet for child support and welfare "dern, should have listened to that crazy internet lady".

Anyway, GOOD LUCK!!
