How does it work?

My soon to be Husband and I are in our last week of his marriage being final, He pays his ex-wife child support and alimony that was agreed on in court, but only till she gets her self a job. She has been getting $1000 a month from him since she left him in 2000. She has not told the courts that she is working and earning min wages, is she intitled to still get this much money, and will she have to pay my partner money back that she got dishonestly. Please lte me know how the laws for this work in California.
