how long do you have to be married before you can ask for spousal maintenance in ks??

can someone please tell me how long a couple has to be married before one can seek spousal maintenance/support in the state of kansas.We have been married only 3 years, but he keeps all of his money to himself and tells me how to spend mine.Now he says he wants a divorce and i don't want to end up on the streets because of it.
