What is the name of your state? NJ

I have read some where that you must be married for 10 years for the ex wife to be intitled for alimony. Is this true?

She is a waitress and makes much more money than me. She wants alimony but she does not report all the tips she makes which is great money...

Thanks, jacar3

Merely being female and married 10 years is NOT necessarilly a reason for alimony. YOU were ALSO married ten years, maybe YOU should for alimony if she makes more?

There must be a significant DIFFERENCE in income.

The dilemma is PROVING her income without creating an income tax problem for under-reporting.
