| | | I am owed tons of back spousal support I was divorced in January of 2006, in Miami County, Ohio. My ex husband agreed to pay me $1500.00 a month in spousal support, plus over 99K in arrearages, pay certain bills, and I was to receive certain marital property that he has since taken off with. This amount that he owes me (alimony and restitution) is hovering around $300,000.00. I received approx. $4,000.00, and have not received a single dime since May of 2006. There is currently a warrant for his arrest, but it isn't doing me any good since no one will look for this guy. I was told (by my attorney) that after a certain amount of time (6 month, if I recall) and a certain monetary amount (I believe this was $95,000), that the prosecutor maypursue this as a felony. However, this has yet to happen. I have tried going through a place that finds deadbeats for a fee, they found him, he quit his job, and they dropped my case! I called my divorce attorney and requested that a subpeona be sent to them, but I haven't heard anything back--it's been a couple of months now. I am fairly certain of my ex's whereabouts, and I am certain that he has sufficient assets to pay me what he owes me-he is simply hiding them through girlfriend. Is there anything I can do, or anything that someone else can do on my behalf? |

| | | How does he owe you over 99k in arrearages? Have you filed contempt against him at least? And do you have a job? You may NEVER see any of this money quite frankly.
