Length of time for sp.support-disabledWhat is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? CA We are getting a divorce after 17 years of marriage. I am on permanent SSDI, my condition not expected to ever get better. I had a free consulatation with an attorney who advised me that the usual rule for support of 1/2 the length of time married would not apply in my case, and is often awarded for lifetime if I can never work again. Opinions? Thank you. |

| Yep, that's pretty likely - if the disability occured during the marriage.
