Limitations on seeking spousal support?

What is the name of your state? New York
My divorce was finalized 3 months ago. My ex got out of paying spousal support because, during our divorce proceeding, I received a disability check ($8,000) and paid bills, as well as purchased items I never had. All previous checks (3 of at least $16,000 during our 23-year marriage) were used to purchase items for my husband and two sons, as well as paying off our mortgage and bills. I am disabled and am on a limited income. My ex makes at least 4 times what I do. Can I go back to court to get support? He made sure I had no savings before he left. I haven't received any more large checks and expect no more. My ex "discovered" the check amount when he had my youngest son report back to him what I had. Do I have any chance?
