Question

Maintanance fee

What is the name of your state?arielWhat is the name of your state?Illinois
I am disabled, 44, and we were married 25 years. My husband signed a paper in front of a lawyer agreeing to pay me $300 a month maintanance fee now (not even a month later) he is threatening to take me to court and get the maintanance fee stopped. Can he do that?

each party is at liberty to approach the courts on a matter of change to agreements. will he win? who knows. No one here has read your settlement agreement to see what all was listed and fairly approved by the judge in the settlement case. consult your attorney.

Hon, if you don't have a lawyer...get one. If you do have one, then listen to your attorney.

The idiot is complaining about $300/mo? You should be glad to get him back into court so you can ask for a reasonable amount of "maintenance" for your 25 years....like $600/month or more. Do it!
