If a wife is mentally ill but had numerous affairs (with minors, married men, unprotected sex, etc.), would the husband still have to pay alimony because of the wife's mental state? |

| | | It just struck me that the wife's mental illness could make it even more likely that the husband pays alimony - if it's severe enough to be mentioned, she could claim that she's unable to support herself...
Regardless, if there is a court order, the husband doesn't necessarily get a free pass just because she has mental health issues.
Out of curiosity, are you a new spouse of one of the parties?
