What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
I have about 3000.00 more of of alimony,I have been paying her in 500.00 a month payments, I talked to her the other day cause she has not cashed the last two checks.

what do I do to be legal about making sure that she cannot come back after the alimony that she says she is willing to cut short.

I am actually thinking she got remarried and cashed a couple eariler checks, I checked with this county and clark county in vegas and theres no record in either place.

She says if I give her 750.00 more she will call it even, I told her OK but we need to sign papers to be legal about it, does it need to go thru the courts or just be noterized ?

Any suggestions??

You need to write up a joint agreement. Both of you need to sign it in front of a notary. Then you need to file it with the court.
