New Hampshire Spousal Suppourt

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New Hampshire

I was married for 3.5 months. We do not have kid or property in either's name. She was not working before marriage or now. We have been separated for last 5 years. I have got into a job which now pays me 120K. Everytime when I ask her to sign divorce papaers, she demands for Alimony.

I am not sure of NH laws. Her only reasoning is that I make lot of money and she dont make any money, so she want Alimony. She is having BS degree in commerce.

What are the chances that she will temporary alimony? If yes, How much? For how long should I pay? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

First, please understand that you have been married for over 5 years, not 3.5 months. That's a very important distinction.

If she was not working before the marriage and is not working now, how is she currently supporting herself?

Are you saying that you cohabitated in the marriage for 3.5 months, and then have been separated for the past 5 years?

Were you legally separated or just not living together?

Since the separation, has you provided any support to your STBX? How have you filed your tax returns?

There comes a time when you need to bite the bullet and just go to court.

Your Honour,

Yes, we were married 5 years ago. We cohabitated for 4 months, 5 years ago. Since that time, we have led completely separate lives. I have provided no support to my STBX over the past 4.5 years. My STBX has not provided support to me either.

Now, how is it that she could have supported herself for the past 4.5 years? Did she live on air?

You two have not shared $$.

Have you seen an attorney over this? Just because she asks does NOT mean it will be granted.
