| I was under the assumption that alimony started when the divorce was final in the court in New York State. My x-wife believes it starts when the intial court papers where signed which adds three months. I don't mind paying it but since she wiped out the bank accounts, and got me fired from my job, it makes me even more straped for cash.Even though she wanted the divorce I agreed to alimony to get her on her feet quicker. I have been more the nice to her, but all she seems to be now is greedy. She is now threaten to get the US Marshal after me for back alimony, which I see as a ploy for scaring me into given her more money. Any help would be appreiciated. Sincerly, Adam. |
