What is the name of your state? nc i pay 770 a month for 2 kids and 200 temp alimony and 182 marital dept. i left her the house and 95% of everything in it. i have been living with my mom and do not have enough money left each month to get a place of my own.i stopped paying her and now am in contempt.i have already paid a lawyer $4000 and he new her lawyer and did what her lawyer wanted. which was keeping her in the house and screwing me. should i have enough money to at least be able to live on my own. i make $60000 a year and she makes $28000 in the $60000, $7500 of it is truck allowance. i was told to subtract that from my income. anyway here is my income

Well, yes. But it would help to know what those numbers were based on.

Lets see...60,000 a year is 5000.00 a month after taxes maybe 3500.00 per month...your total obligation adds up to approx 1150.00 a month or approx 27% of your gross...leaving you 2350.00 more or less per month. WHOLE families often live on that much net income and you can't afford a place of your own?
