Oregon Spousal Support Modification

My domestic partner was divorced 5 years ago in the state of OR. Divorce decree states he was to pay transitional support of $400 per month not exceeding Feb 2010, and this is ON TOP OF child support. However, former spouse has since remarried, owns property, and is more than gainfully employed, while my partner is struggling to make ends meet. Essentially, he is helping support her new family! We need for him to get a modification of the support asap as his work hours have been reduced, and she no longer needs the support. Where can we turn to get forms to file for this modification? The Oregon Justice Department only works to modify child support or enforce it, not spousal support. Thanks!

Your domestic partner probably needs an attorney. However, if the attorney would cost more than 4800.00 (which is the amount he has left to pay in spousal support until 2/10.

If his income has decreased since the orders were written an attorney could handle a modification of both spousal and child support at the same time.
