Permanent alimony reduction

What is the name of your state? Florida

I have been paying alimony and child support for about 10 years now. Last daughter off to college next fall.

Are there ways to make the permanent alimony go away or get reduced going forward. When I was divorced my attorney told me it was not negotiable. Age 55, I am remarried, ex wife is not.

Usually permanent alimony is nonmodifiable.

Talk to a Florida divorce lawyer who can tell you if anything has changed recently.

Has the CS been stopped, if not you need to get it stopped. I doubt very much if the alimony can be reduced, unless you are now disabled for some reason. Consult with a local attorney just to make sure though.
