Please help me!

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

I have been married twice. My first divorce was in 1990. My ex-wife was awarded 35% of my net earnings in permanent alimony payments. I got remarried in 1994 and now that marriage has broken down after 15 years. She says she wants permanent alimony as well. What are the chances she will win, and if she does, how much is she likely to get, taking into account the alimony I'm already paying the first wife? I'm in California, I make $95,000 net a year, I'm paying my first wife around $33,000 a year.

Sir,

I'm sorry but we are not statisticians or bookies - meaning we don't do odds.

If you think this divorce is going to be complicated, retain counsel as soon as possible.

One more piece of advice - don't get married a third time, shacking up seems to be the economical choice.

Absolutely!

I don't think there is much chance of me getting married again! I thought this one would last, but sadly not. Is there anyone here who knows of a case where a man is paying 2 lots of alimony?

Actually yes.

You need an attorney. Like yesterday. This goes beyond a message board.

True.

Yes, I realize that my divorce hearing is not far away and is probably getting late to ask for advice, but in my defense I only just found this site.
