My former wife refuses to cash my alimony checks, in preparation of suing for a modification of the amount.
I would like nevertheless to make the regular payments and get a valid proof, so as to avoid the possibility of being accused that I stopped fulfilling my legal obligations. Certified mail verifies only that I sent an envelope but proves nothing about the content of it.
Both my former wife and myself reside in California and that is where the divorce took place.
Any ideas about a suitable procedure? Thanks!
