I am presently going through the the divorce process due to my husband's drug addiction. I am asking for spousal support but there is a hitch we were married for 8 years divorced for 1 year, reconciled and have been married for 4 years. Will the courts look at the entire length of marriage or only the most recent? Any articles or statues would be helpful.

You are divorcing from a 4-year marriage. That is the length of time the court is to consider. Besides, you have given no facts in favor of a ruling for spousal support so that question is moot.
