spousal supportWhat is the name of your state? California I had a court date last Thursday , we dealt with child support and spousal support. The Comissioner we saw ordered me to pay 55% of monthly check to stbx. Because she is not working, I have to pay another 350 $ a month to her and there is not a time limit for her to find work.- My question is Can I but some type of time limit in court order. I only pull in 2200 a month. Last edited by dklee43jr; 05-16-2007 at 12:26 PM. |

| Ya know, this is similar to what we tell people over on the custody board when they want to bitch about what a horrible person their ex is... you KNEW she wasn't willing or capable of holding a job when you married her - she'd been unemployed for 9 years BEFORE you married her, and apparently remained unemployed for the next 15.5 years... why on earth would you expect her to suddenly be willing or able to get a job? I think spousal support is a terrible idea almost all the time... but really - you HAD to know that she wasn't going to suddenly get a job, flipping burgers or otherwise, right?
