Spousal support

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California. I am a California male, divorced for approx. 8 years, following a 21 year marriage. I have been told that I originally hired an incompetent paralegal to handle my divorce. He worked the Diso-Master so that I have been paying $1500 a month in spousal support ever since. My ex gave me a paultry 30k in estimated equity, and solely owns the house. My ex is still unmarried, no longer has any kids at home, and makes approx. $4000 a month. I have re-married and have a 5 year old daughter of my own now. I am set to retire in about 2-3 months, at which time my ex will be getting approx. 25-30% of my retirement, amounting to more than the $1500 in spousal support. Will I be able to modify/eliminate my spousal support since she will be getting more from my retirement? If so, how do I do it? HELLLLLP!

What does your order actually say about modification?

You honestly need to consult a local attorney. You cannot afford NOT to do so.
