Temporary Reduction of child support

What is the name of your state?FL

My husband pays $800/mo in child support. On July 1 he retired from the military and we moved down to FL to be closer to his kids;I am a self employed Realtor and have not made any money yet and my husband's income dropped from $100k to $25K pension. We've been having to borrow money from family to pay child support and our monthly bills. My husband has been looking for a new job but not found anything yet. is it possible to have the child support stopped or dropped until he finds a job?
If yes, how would we go about the process of doing that?

A modification can be done whenever there has been a change of circumstances, such as retiring from the military.

The first thing your husband needs to do is to file a motion with the court in MD to change venue/jurisdiction to Florida, since both parties now live in Fl.

Once the order is transferred he needs to file for the modification. He can do this himself by going to www.flcourts.org/ for the forms and other info.

Just gotta ask: what military job did your hubby have that paid him $100K? MD? MD with flight status?
