Cool

My support order was in CA. and it was issued in 1987. For 6 months of that time I was living with my current husband before I had remarried. My ex stopped payments due to the fact that I had a new mate. Is there a any way I can collect back spousal support for the time he didnt pay?
and is there a rule about not being able to collect after a 10yr span has passed?
Am I out of luck? or should I still persue this issue.

Dont know about CA but if you're admitting to living with someone that would be considered co-habbitation and if the new boy friend was contributing to the household you just might be out of luck. Only 6 months doesn't pay to go through the legal hassel and to try to collect. I've looked into that matter myself in NJ with my ex.

Wink

I have been working with the Child Support services and they are in the process of helping me collect. In CA their is interest acrrued on the balance due making the sum over 5000.00. I think I will see what Child Support services can do for me.
