variation in supportWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New Brunswick I am looking for some advice. My current arrangement requires me to pay 1400.00 a month in spousal support after a 25 year marriage. I have been separated/divorced for 10 years. I remarried last year. I am now unemployed. She has been accepting 400.00 a month since I became unemployed a few months ago. I am living of my savings right now but they will soon run out. I have retirement savings of about 130,000.00 along with a house worth 60,000.00 and 20,000.00 interest in another house. My debts include a 65,000.00 mortgage and 3000.00 in credit cards. I just found a part time job and I will be making about 700.00 a month, a lot less than I am used to making. I want to make an appication to the court to vary the amount of support payable. Can anyone advise of what I might expect to be ordered to pay? thanks in advance. |

| I'm 54 and she is 55. I don't think her financial situation is very good as she doesn't work much. She also blew all of the money we had divided equally upon separation and I had also bought out her half of the family home, that money is gone too. I kept my half and perhaps now I will be penalized for that. I hope that is enough info. |
