Very Simple Question I think

What is the name of your state?NY
I've worked with my Lawyer on a motion that will be filed on my behalf.

My Lawyer told me my wifes attorney was served today, with a returnable date of Early Jan... What does this mean?? I cannot reach my lawyer for clarification..

The returnable date would likely be the date that a response must be filed by, if it's being filed.
