What if i choose not to pay?

What is the name of your state? FL

OK - just a question... not considering it, just asking...


What would i expect if I just stop paying the spousal support?

Could I be arrested?

I know that if you don't pay child support, they can come and get ya -
but what about spousal support?

there are no children involved.

The same thing applies to alimony as to child support. You'd be held in contempt of court and would run the risk of being arrested and/or jailed.

If there's a court order for it? You can pay or potentially go to jail.

Speaking from experience, if you are even a little bit behind in payments and she files paperwork against you, you WILL end up in jail unless you can pay the balance owed immediately. Otherwise they hold you until the balance, plus their fees for arresting you are paid.
