Question

What legal rights do I have?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NC, but married in Maryland.
Married for 11 years, no kids between us. My husband and I were planning on moving to NC together. He and I found the townhouse and decided to rent to own. I moved in but he didn't. His name is not on the lease. The house we have in MD does not have my name on it, although it was purchased while we have been married. We lived in it for 5 years. I have been in NC for the last eight months. I was recently laid off, my husband has paid been sending money for bills for the last eight months. He put the three thousand down for the deposit on the house in NC. He has been to NC several times leading me to think he was going to move here. He said he is not moving to NC and plans on staying in MD. He is 50 and lives with his mother so that he can spend all of his money on toys. He is self employed, a small, unlicensed housing contractor. Owning a hummer, boat, mercedez and pick up truck. He refinanced the house (without telling me 4 years ago) for $100, 000.00. The home we lived in is empty. I would like to know am I able to get spousal support. All of the bills are past due and I have no money to pay bills. What legal rights do I have?

You may or may not get spousal support. Depends on a lot of things. Are you working? Is he? How much do you each earn?

Nothing stated by me should be taken as giving you legal advice or forming an attorney/client relationship. The devil is in the details after all.
