what is the time limits to filing and being served before a hearing???

California, I have a hearing on spousal support, and division of military retirement. on the 30th of the month and the attorney for my ex has not filed as of todays date. but yet he is trying to make my house a issue for the court when I have a document that when we split up and all the assets and the property were devided. it has been 5 years since that document was done and it was done 3 years before the divorce and it has now been over a year since the divorce was final. the attorney served me papers after one hearing that the only issue in the court was that he was setting a new date for the hearing. the papers I was served were not filed with the court and to this date still have not been filed. there is no court stamp on the papers he served me and the clerks office still has no documents filed by the attorney on anything.
