Advice on theft issueWhat is the name of your state? Virginia My 18 year old son received a $100 tool from a "friend" and was asked to sell this at a pawn shop. He pawned the tool and within a week was called by police to inform him that he sold stollen property. We met with police and provided him with the "friends" name (he is 17 yrs old) and address. The police will be investigating the "friend" and will get back to my son. My son's mistakes and other details, he did not know the tool was stolen, he did not recieve any money from the pawn, and he has no prior police issues. He obviously was nieve and has a problem on his hands. How will this issue likely be resolved? Any comments? |

| The police will talk to the other subject and see what he has to say. If he doesn't admit to anything then your son will probably be arrested. If the other subject admits to it then nothing will probably happen to your son. Your son is about to learn just how good of a "friend" this "friend" is. |

| aggggrrahhh: You should have a long talk with your son, and have both of you sit down and watch the TV show COPS... watch 4 or 5 epsiodes together, and then maybe your son will get it... about how EASY it is to catch stupid criminals. |
