Could anyone tell me if there is a time limit on the amount of time they have to have an arraignment on a charge?

I think that if you are in Jail they have 48 hours to arraign you. Is that correct?

I was charged with Disorderly/Disturbing and was released on a $100.00 PR Bond. That was on July 24th 2005. The arraignment was scheduled for July 27th 2005.

When I went to the court house for the arraignment the Court did not have the paperwork. They infomed me that the City Prosecutor had not given them the paperwork yet.

As of last week when I talked to the Prosecuter they had not gotten the paperwork from the police yet.

Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.
