Arrest on armed robbery

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? GA
My 17 year old was arrested for armed robbery. What are his options? Can he get probation and if so, can he be allowed to complete his probation with his father in the state of MA and live with his father? Also, can he get probation if he has no prior arrests and was never in trouble?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Your son has been arrested for a serious criminal felony and needs a lawyer.

Depending upon the circumstances, punishment for Armed Robbery can be

1. Death penalty;
2. Life in prison;
3. No less than 10 nor more than 20 years in prison. (Keep in mind that the minimum prison time is 10 years with no early release.)

If you take a controlled substance from a druggist and cause intentional bodily injury, the minimum prison sentence is 15 years. You must do at least 10 years in prison with no early release.

You need a very good attorney, very fast.

Chances are you son is going to be charged as an adult, which most likely means real prison time, with parole and/or probation following his release.

Get a good lawyer fast!
