What is the name of your state?I wrote 3 checks in South Carolina totaling $154 plus the "handling" fees and I was unable to pay them at the time. I just received notification that I have a warrant for my arrest. My question is if I go to the police station will I be able to pay what I owe to satify the warrant or will I be arrested and have to sit in jail over this?

Turn yourself in and be booked into the county jail but that is only a formality. They wont hold you but will give you a total that has to be paid. If you pay this before the court date it will be dismissed. Be prepared to also pay court costs now that a warrant has been put out on you.
