Arrest Warrents statue of limitation

If an arrest warrant was issued before charges were filed, formally...is there a statute of limitation? Example: In the case that a person is unaware that they may be a suspect then returnes to his/her home in another state. An arrest warrant then is issued for a possible involvement in a crime, is there a statute of limitation? I understood it to be 7 years.

Once a warrant issues, it is active until the person is arrested. The statute of limitations sets how long the state can wait to charge.
