I am trying to search for the laws on possession of stolen property in Missouri to see what the charges could be.

What do you mean "what the charges could be"? What were you charged with when arrested?

Google Seach for Missouri statutes, should be able to find what you are looking for.

I was charged with possession of stolen property... so I am trying to find what the penalties for that charge can be.

Under Missouri criminal laws, receiving stolen property under $500 in value is a Class A misdemeanor. If the value of the property is $500 or more, or the person is a dealer in goods of the type in question, then it would be considered a Class C felony.

And for a felony class c, do you have to go to jail or can you get just probation?
