arrested twice for same chargecalifornia. I was arrested once taken to the police jail then finger printed and read me my rights.then released without no court date and paperwork. then two months later i get arrested for a warrent for the same crime as the first one.with a high bail amount. during this time i was pulled over for a impound check twice also is there such a law. |

| What it sounds like is that the first time you were arrested and then you were unarrested (pursuent to 849 b 1 of the Ca penal code). The police can unarrest you if they deem there is insufficient evidence to charge you with a crime. Then the arrest is deemed only a detention. Then after further investigation there was enough evidence to charge you with a crime. An Investigator/ Detective went to the DA's office with your case and filed for an Arrest Warrant. An Arrest Warrant was issued and you got picked up. This is just a guess...with the info you gave. |
