Attacked by two men but the woman gets Arrested

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Louisiana
My friend got beat up by two men and the cops came the men where gone and they took her to Jail. She had a swollen face and a broken arm. The Cop was apparently friends with the man that beat her up.So he charges her with Disturbing the Peace and assaulting an Officer in need of Medical attention. witch she never did. She went three days later and tried to press Charges on the men that attacked her and the Police told her she couldn't until her trial was done. What do you think she should do?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

**A: there is a lot more to this story and you have left out important details.
This post sounds very one-sided and if the involved cops read it , I am sure that they would agree

Your post sure sounds like a lot of the facts are missing. But if for some reason your story is true and she has any way of proving the facts of the matter, she should ask her lawyer how to file a complaint against the men who attacked her or contact the DOJ

And the request of the attorney should be concerning both a civil and a criminal complaint.
