A&B charge and CDOM

What is the name of your state? Michigan

About a month ago I took my daughter along with my little sister, niece, my son and his friend to a hotel. My children were swimming in the pool along with other people and I left out for 5 minutes to use to phone. During that time my son, his friend and my sister got into an argument with a lady that was swimming with them because my son had splashed her by accident. To make a long story short the lady called my son the N word and called him the B word and also told him that she was going to kick his a** now my son and his friend and my sister age ranges from 10 to 11. When the kids came and knocked on my door and told me what happened I tried to approach the lady to find out what really happened from her side of the story. The lady went into her room and was yelling at me from behind the door, so I simply told her that I couldn't understand how she could curse out children and call them all kinds of names but she was scarred to talk to an adult. With that the lady opened up her door but kept the chain on, I tried to talk to her and I told her that I was not there to try to hurt her but she continued to yell and she started calling me out of my names and maded racial comments against me and she spit on me. She had aimed for my face but it landed on my arm but I spit back in her face before she got a chance to close the door. I had started laughing because I thought the lady was stupid so I walked away. When I reached to end of the hallway she came out of her room and started yelling down the hallway so I walked back to her and tried to explain that I was just trying to talk to her and she started calling me more names and before I could get a chance to walk away she spit right on me a second time so I punched her in the face and basically beat her up. Her son was standing in the hallway and while we were fighting her son had hit me and so my son had beat him up and now I'm the one getting charged because she initially started the whole situation. After the fight was over I left because I didn't want anymore trouble with this lady and come to find out the police were called and she pressed charges by telling the police officeer that she only told me to control my children and I hit her because of it. I dont have any criminal history at all and I also have a nursing license do anyone have any suggestions or know of a similar case about what should I do to avoid having this on my record.
