I live in GA.
I went to a major retail store to purchase a few items. When I tried to write a check I was told they wouldn't accept a check from me because there was a bad check on file. Apparently a check I had written over a year ago had bounced. I had never received notification from the store regarding this matter. It was late at night and the banks were closed, so I told them that I would go to the bank the next morning and get cash to cover it (tommorow morning--and I have every intention of doing it). The manager told me to be sure I did because they had already warranted it. Here are my questions:
1) If it has been warranted why haven't I been informed of it?
2) If I pay it tomorow will the warrant be dropped?
3) If the warrant is dropped, will it still appear on my record?
