I have a friend who bailed someone out of jail. Now that person has fled the state. What will happen to my friend who bailed her out? Will he get into trouble for bailing her out and not producing her in court?

I have a friend who bailed someone out of jail. Now that person has fled the state. What will happen to my friend who bailed her out? Will he get into trouble for bailing her out and not producing her in court?

If the friend helped her flee then the friend can get in BIG trouble. As it stands now, the person who committed the bail money will be out the money.

I hope the friend did not put their house or other property up to secure the bond as it may now be forfeit!
