Being Released before Jail Time is up

What is the name of your state? Virginia

I was wondering if a jail releases you before the time was said and there paper work says different then what the court said can they put you back in jail or is there a law that if they mess up they can't put you back in after so many days of release???? I was told there was something like a 10 day thing. Where if they havn't put you back in they can't come get you.

No get out of jail card for free. Clerical mistakes can be made. I have heard of corrections facilities releasing the murderer thinking that he was the shoplifter. They just go find him and put him back.
