Question

Bench warrant


I am in MI and have a bench warrant for a failure to appear, i was wondering can the police come into my home and arrest me, do i have to answer the door when they knock, if i dont answer can they kick the door down? how does all this work?

If you have a bench warrant the police can come to your home and arrest you. The can knock on your door and if you don't answer, make sure you are prepared to take whatever comes your way.

Your best best is to speak to an attorney about turning yourself in.
