Bench warrant AZ to NJ

What is the name of your state? NJ

I just recieved what I think is a bench warrant from Maricopa County AZ for failure to appear in court on an underage drinking charge?
I never was issued a summons, How am I supposed to know I was required to appear in court, and how do they expect me to get there? I live 2000 miles away and I can not afford airfare to AZ.
Can AZ have my local police arrest me? Is there extradition from NJ to AZ for a misdemenor? If I was never given a breathalizer how can they acuse me of drinking. I was not drinking, the people in the area were drinking. It was a public outdoor area.
Do they have a case? how do I fix this? I did not do anything wrong and now they are threatning to arrest me?

Yes, AZ can issue a warrant and have you arrested. But, chances are they will not have you extradited so they will not confirm the warrant in NJ.

The down side is that you will forever have a warrant out for your arrest until you resolve it somehow. This can effect loans, job background checks, etc.
